IRIS: Goddess of the Rainbow

Established in 1954, IEIS is a non-profit organization affiliated with the American Iris Society (AIS) as a member of Region 13 (Eastern Washington).

The Inland Empire Iris Society (IEIS) is a group of iris enthusiasts dedicated to growing all verities and colors of the "rainbow" in our gardens, and sharing our love of iris and gardening skills with others. Beginning in 2005 the club was granted land to maintain a demonstration garden in Spokane's premier garden park, Manito Park. The club holds two iris rhizomes sales in July of each year from the demonstration garden as well as the personal gardens of club members. Club members regularly partner with other garden clubs/societies to increase public awareness of good gardening practices in annual events such as the Arbor Day celebration at Spokane’s Finch Arboretum each April. The club also delights in co-hosting an annual Iris Show where members of the club as well as the general public are allowed to participate free of charge.

Membership:
•   Annual Membership Dues: Individuals $7.50, Couples $10.00

Meetings:
•   Meeting Time: 7:00 pm (unless otherwise noted)
•   Meeting Date: fourth Thursday of each month, (excluding the winter months of: November, December, and January)
•   Meeting Location: The Manito Park Meeting Rooms, East of the Gaiser Conservatory (off W 21st Ave in Manito Park)
